What to Ask Your Stylist for Long Layers
Say this at the chair
Long layers: keep the length, add face-framing layers from the cheekbone and long internal layers for movement.
- Top
- Face-framing pieces starting at the cheekbone.
- Sides
- Long internal layers, the shortest at the collarbone.
- Back
- Length kept; ends trimmed only.
- Fringe
- Optional curtain bangs at cheekbone length.
- Styling
- Blow-dry with a round brush, or air dry with a light oil on the ends. Five to ten minutes.
- Grow-out
- Twelve weeks between trims. The layers grow out invisibly.
