Curly Shag
Medium • Curly
The Curly Shag keeps more length at the front and has no mullet-style back.
A wolf cut is a medium-length layered cut that mixes a shag and a mullet: short, choppy layers at the crown and around the face, with the longest hair at the back. It is also called a shag mullet. It suits wavy and curly hair best and takes about five minutes to rough-dry into shape.
The wolf cut keeps its shortest layers at the crown for height and its longest at the back, with face-framing pieces at cheekbone level. Wavy and curly hair hold the shape with little product; straight hair needs texture spray or a diffuser. It loses its crown shape after six to eight weeks.
“A wolf cut: short choppy layers at the crown and around my face, longer at the back, texture through the ends.”
Loses its crown shape after six to eight weeks.
