Two Dutch Braids

Long • Styled look

Two Dutch braids start at the hairline either side of a centre part and run back along the head, with the strands crossed under so each braid sits raised. They are also called boxer braids or double Dutch braids. They need shoulder-length or longer hair and take ten to twenty minutes.

Crossing under, not over, is the only difference from a French braid, and it is what raises the braid. Done on second-day hair they hold for a few days with a scarf at night.
